Mac 4.0 won't open document

tried to open a document in newly installed 4.0 for Mac and got error message “the application can’t be opened -35” ???

I searched for your error message “the application can’t be opened -35” and found the following:

If I had to guess, it sounds like LibreOffice isn’t installed properly. Can you open LibreOffice directly, or does this error appear no matter how you try to run the program?

thanks for the links.
inexplicably a few days later it opened. the only thing i did was open a document in openoffice but can’t see how that would affect libreoffice.
go figure!!
