Just updated from 6.2.8 to 6.3.5 on MacOS 10.14.6, iMac Retina. In Writer all text now showed pixelation, very tiring on the eyes. This seems to be a recurring problem going back a long way. I solved it by reinstalling 6.2.8 from a backup, but has anyone yet found a more positive solution?

this is bug #tdf122218 and according to the bug report it should be fixed in LibreOffice >= 6.4.2 (if I understand the description correctly)

It is already fixed as stated in my answer - install “fresh” version 6.4.3 and you should be fine. If not - leave a comment in the bug report, that it doesn’t work for you.
