Mac mail integration

When I trie to send a document with writer the mail client opens (Mac OS most recent using Mail)…but it does not open a dialog box with the document already attached. I Have already set Mail als the client for mailing…I do not know what to do next to fix this.

MacOS: File → Send → Email Document … does not work with Thunderbird if Thunderbird.app is selected under Preferences - Internet - Email as “Email program” via “Browse:”

Linked from the bug report in comment by @mariosv is tdf#167343 which is specific to Mail and 25.8

The workaround is to save the document to file and add as an attachment using Mail’s usual method.
