I can’t get legacy versions of LibreOffice to work with Ventura. I need to use version 5 because compatability issues with newer versions, but nothing earlier than 7.4 seems to work with Ventura - it never loads. Does anyone have information or thoughts?
When you download LibreOffice, you may also read the “release notes”: At the end there is a section on “platform compatibility” wich reads for 7.5 and Mac as
- LibreOffice 7.5 requires macOS 10.14 or newer to run.
Due to Apple’s policy regarding C++ standard library features, the minimum macOS version requirement will be raised in the future like so:- release in Aug 2023 → 10.15 Catalina
Hmmm…Ventua is the newest version of the Mac OS. And 13 is obviously newer than 10.14. I feel like this is not quite the solution, but thanks for the info.
