I wrote a macro apparently with an error, and it continues to pop up a box with “syntax error” over and over. I’ve only referenced the function in one cell, and it just keeps popping up the error box non-stop. I killed the office instance and every time I try to re-open the workbook again it immediately starts up with the endless syntax error pop up box. So I’ve just lost a full day of work because I can’t recover the workbook. (deleted unnecessary abbreviation - please refrain - all different ages and backgrounds here — @Ratslinger )
Hello,
Sounds as if the code was in a loop. Posting code and or sample file would help. How the macro is executed is also needed.
If you can’t open the file without it looping, move it to a directory where macros are not allowed. Or change your options (from another document) to restrict use of macros unless OK’ed. From menu Tools->Options
then under LibreOffice Security
