Now that LibreOffice has a functional module for opening GoogleDoc (.gdoc) documents from Google Drive, is there a way it could be run as a macro or command-line function call, so that I could set up an automatic sync/backup of my .gdoc files locally? I’ve been using GoogleDocs for my writing (fiction) because I can just pick up and work on a story from whatever machine or tablet I’m on, and don’t have to worry where the current revision is.
The problem is, I would prefer having a regularly scheduled backup of all my .gdoc files, rather than relying on the cloud as my only copy (or from boneheaded deletions). I know I can open individual documents and download them, but that means having to open each one and re-save it. And I also have to remember where I saved the most recent copy last.
