I am unable to get the ‘mail merge’ label print in Writer to work. I am using ver 7.1.8.1, my data base is held in Calc. I have used the same configuration previously with success. The procedure prints the merge fields, rather than a merged document.

Didn’t get that option. My procedure;
File/New/Label
Database
Table
Fields (OK so far)
New Doc
Page appears, layout OK database fields in place, ‘Synchronise’ button already highlighted and unresponsive and can get no further.
Do not understand how. Your last comment is missing steps.
At the new doc step, if formats OK, then select Print
. You will be asked about Form Letters
and select Yes
. Then will be able to choose what to print & print them.

Ratslinger, It works! I must have done it that way before and just forgot - I only use that particular form once a year for greetings cards.
