Hello there,

I have an issue with embedded image similar to Bug 63211 - MAILMERGE: looses embedded image when e-mailing as html

In my case recipient receives an email that contains code apparently containing embedded image email original, but image isn’t visible in message when opened: resulting email

Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?

This is an ugly issue with a now complex tangle of related bugs. All you really need to know is that base64 encoding of images was broken in v5.0 and a fix is forthcoming for this aspect in v5.2.0. Refer tdf#48887#c44.
