Making the write-cursor more visible in Writer under Linux

I am suffering from a difficult-to-see writing cursor in Writer.
I have read a number of threads with similar subjects, modified ~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css by adding a line
GtkWidget-cursor-aspect-ratio: 0.3;
without any visible change, and am getting desperate.
I have even created a ~/.config/gtk-4.0/settings.ini to try to launch writer with $ gtk4-launch libreoffice6.1-writer but no cigar ;-3(

Running Libreoffice Version: 6.1.2.1 under PCLinuxOS.

And what is your desktop manager? GNOME, KDE Plasma, LXQt, Xfce, …? Tweaking …/gtk-xxx/ if the currently active widget collection is not GTK+ will have no effect.

Thank you for the quidk return.
Oooops ! Sorry ! I use XFCE 4-16-0.
And I and have no idea what widget collection I have active, or even present…

Xfce uses the GTK+ collection, but since it is built around the Xfwm window manager (not the same as GNOME), the gtk.css may not work (I am not an expert on that matter).
Check that package libreoffice-gtik is installed, otherwise widget management reverts to X11, a very basic one.

Thank you; sadly, my distribution does not offer libreoffice-gtk, so I reccon I’ll have to dig for a .compatible rpm in some other rpm-based distributions.

I will let you know if/when I find a solution.
