Master slide configuration changes not taking effect

Hello all,

LibreOffice 7.5.0.3 (x86_64) on macOS 12.2.1

I’m experiencing 2 (related) problems with the master slide configuration:

1st problem:
I cannot get the title text box to display a gradient from to “white”. It is fine in the 1st of my 2 Impress presentations. But I cannot get it right in the 2nd .odp file.

Screen grabs are as follows:

1. Master slide (correct) from 1st presentation showing gradient in title text box (displays gradient properly in title on slides)
2. Master slide (not correct) from 2nd presentation (cannot configure the title text box properly)

How to fix this in the master slide (assuming that is the way to do it)?

2nd problem:
Some of the slides properly display the header (full width of slide as specified in the master slide). But others have a narrower header field — and I didn’t change it…!!

3. Slide from 1st (good) presentation properly displaying the title gradient
4. Slide from 2nd (bad) presentation not displaying the title gradient

How do I fix it for all slides? I can fix each slide manually, but I I would certainly prefer to avoid manually editing each slide to
a. manually configure the text title bo with the gradient
b. manually resizethe title text box in each slide.

Is there a known bug in the master slide logic, or I have a corrupted .odp file. I tried searching to try to find any description of a bug like this but didn’t find anything appropriate.

Yes, this helped. I followed the instructions at the page “English documentation.”

I believe the UI changed from earlier releases. I recall that I could just edit any element on the master slide and the changes would take effect.
