On Mac OS X Sierra, menu icons are unreadable.
LibreOffice crash very often.

I have version LO 5.2.2 on iMac OS Sierra, 4K resolution. Old version also does not work. Only version 4.3.7002 is working on my old iMac (Graphic card HS) with El Capitan.

From the menu “Tools”, “Options…”, expand LibreOffice and select View. There are choices for icon size and style and you might find one of the alternate styles more readable. Galaxy style is slightly larger.
What version of LibreOffice do you have? Try latest “Still” version.
Edit to add, comments in bug report suggest turning off “Automatic graphics switching” and also “In the meantime, for users that are experiencing the crash (likely on a 5k iMac), please change your color profile (System Preferences > Display > Color) to the Standard iMac Apple RGB profile for the time being.”
