Mouse cursor offset from top and side of table when selecting table columns and rows in Writer in Linux Mint

When trying to select columns or rows in a table in Writer, the mouse cursor is offset from the top or side of the table as shown in the attached video. This especially a problem when trying to select a row vs. trying to adjust the width of the table, as you can see in the video. For comparison, you can see how the behavior in Windows is perfect: the cursor is properly positioned and points to the top/side of the table at the appropriate spot.

Is this a bug or is there a setting in Linux Mint or LO that I can adjust to fix this? Thank you.
