Moving selection indicator broken

Good morning all,

situation: when moving a marked selection of cells by drag’n’drop using the mouse, I was used to seeing a rectangle outlining the selection’s new position, depending on where the mouse cursor moves. Since upgrading to LO25.2, this behaviour is broken: the rectangle will show up in some position to the left of the actual selection, moves for a couple of cells and then freezes and remains static when moving the mouse cursor. I’ve attached a screenshot to indicate the behaviour. As far as I remember, this must have happened when upgrading from LO 25.1, it affects both my Ubuntu 20.04 and 24.04 installs.

Any suggestions welcome.

My specs:

Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS
LO 25.2.5.2-2 (.deb from LO website)

Cheers,
r.
