MS DOCX file marked read only crash LibreOffice

Linux RHEL 9 / LibreOffice 24.x

I have a read only file from council to fill in. When I open it Writer freezes and needs to be killed.

Of course according to council “Please note that we have not had any issues from other customers in this regard (and you were also given a link to the Qld government website where the Form is accessible).” Most likely as the same read only docx.

Can someone have a look at this file. It seems I need an independent report that it doesn’t open. I did ask council to save a NON read only version but this poses a difficult issue in a land where Microsoft brainwashing is deeply entrenched.

You document opens here (Fedora 39, KDE Plasma desktop, LO 7.6.7.2). The layout is messed up because of substituted font and dreaded vertical spacing with empty paragraphs.

Apart from a badly designed form, nothing special.
