Multiline vertical text in table cells (writer)

i know how to change orientation of individual lines (Format > Character > Position > Rotation/Scaling) but i can’t find a way to change orientation of entire cells. if i press Enter the new line starts below instead of to the right of the current one. what am i missing?

Use SHIFT+ENTER (newline) rather than ENTER (carriage return). This is bug fdo#34436 and likely duplicate fdo#43618.
