I created a document and had been working on it for more that 5 hours. I saved the document and even converted a copy of it to pdf format. I then moved on to work on another document. Now when I check my recent documents for the first document I was working on , I am not able to re-cover my original it. This HIGHLY unacceptable. What am I supposed to do to recover this file? I have Libre Office version 5.2.7.2. Please what am I supposed to do?!
Where do you save the file?, Don’t find it or when opening it is corrupted?
The “Recent Documents” only lists the documents that were most recently opened by the user.
Newly created documents are only added to the list of recent documents after saving, closing, and opening them.
To retrieve the folder location where you have saved your latest document, you could try this:
- Create a new empty dummy file in Writer;
- Choose the menu “Save As…”;
- In the dialog that pops up, take note of the folder whose contents are currently being displayed in the listbox,
That is probably the same folder as where your latest document was stored.
