This is something new. I have been opening my LibreOfifce Writer by double-clicking on the LibreOffice 5.0 icon or LibreOffice Writer icon on the display screen. But recently, the effect changed. What follows my clicking is just a lasting display of the LibreOffice 5 the Document Foundation banner across the middle of the screen that does not respond to further clicking. When this happen I could only reboot my laptop until the screen turns up what it used to be. That apparently is not the supposed way to get back to my writer. What do you have to say?
Your user profile, or the installation may have become corrupted. Reset the user profile. See LibreOffice user profile - The Document Foundation Wiki for help with that. Note: you rename the old profile, so your user settings are safe, and you can later copy them from the old profile to the new one, one set at a time, tot figure out what part was bad. If resetting the user profile doesn’t help, you will have to re-install.
