Added an image field in a table and somehow it appeared in the form exactly as desired. Added another field to the same table and it appears to be impossible to make that new field appear on the form. Nothing I can find in the user guide addresses this.
You saved the table and opened the form for editing? Created a new control and tried to connect to the new field of the table?
If it doesn’t work: Close Base and reopen Base. Might be the form doesn’t recognize there is a new field in the data source for the form.
I think too many image BLOBs might be causing some problems too. Will switch them to relative URLs…
Indeed. I would only use this field for very small images or for a table like “tbl_settings” for a logo I would need for a company - only one row in this table.
Have tested with BLOBs some times ago. Loaded photos from my (old) digicam. When loading the 4th photo HSQLDB crashes, LO crashes and no photo has been saved. This happens because the content will all be saved in memory until the Base file will be closed.
All images removed. Navigation bar has disappeared from all forms. Forms screen is defaulting to maximize. Since I have been using 7.5.0.3 I thought perhaps an upgrade was in order. Upgraded to 7.6.5 and it wouldn’t run at all. No reaction when clicking shortcut, no reaction when clicking any .odt file. Uninstalled 7.6.5 and attempted to install 7.6.4. Error 404. Installed 7.5.9 and system is working again but still no navigation bar on forms.

Two ways: There is a control you can add to your form, like “Image Control” or “ButtonX”, but you have to add it yourself. The other is to check she shown toolbars in the menu and activate it again. Save the database then to save the setting, but I noticed sometimes toolbars seems to show/hide for no apparent reason.
Navigation bar: Might be View → Toolbars → Form Navigation is unset.

So we need the database here. If it already contains critical data: Make a copy of the database and remove all data.
You will see when you open the form Artworks the page info appears briefly at the bottom of the screen and then disappears and the form navigation bar never appears.
