I just updated Ubuntu with LibreOffice but the Base section is not there. How do I get it ?
If you installed LibreOffice from a Ubuntu repository, in the past base was installed as a separate package in Ubuntu. It still may be the case with whatever versions of Ubuntu and LibreOffice you are using.
Ubuntu doesn’t come with the Base component installed. You can install it simply by opening a terminal and typing sudo apt-get install libreoffice-base
.
There are other Libreoffice components which are not installed by default, like the java component. If you wish to install all LO components you might install the libreoffice meta package with sudo apt-get install libreoffice
.
