latest version of JAVA on MAC, up to date Libre Office, new database

I have the latest JAVA version on MAC, LO DB returns error msg “SQL Status: HY000 No Java installation could be found. Please check your installation.” where and how do I correct this?

Java - what exactly (Java Runtime Environment, Java Development Kit, …)? Are you aware you need JDK on macOS and not JRE? Please see FAQ

Install JDK (64-bit) on macOS.
