Not Able to run Media files on LibreOffice 7.0

I am using Impress on LibreOffice 7.0 to do some presentation. The presentation requires media files, the format of my media files are MPG. When I insert the MPG files onto the presentation, it appears on the screen, however when I run the presentation then the media file does not work. It simple does not run. How do I go about fixing this problem. I have also
installed “sudo apt-get install libdvdnav4 libdvdread4 gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad gstreamer1.0-plugins-ugly libdvd-pkg” and yet it does not work. Need help in fixing the problem…Does anyone know how to solve the problem and to get my media working for my presentation… Thank you for your Help in Advance. Damian

I am using MPG-2, I am able to insert the video file onto my presentation but the problem I am having is when I start the slide show then my video file does not run. It is like a still picture. What can I do to make my video file to work on impress.

I am using MPEG-2 format. I am able to insert the video file on to impress, the problem is when I say ‘start slide show’ the video file does not run. It is like a still image. I have used VLC to check if the video file works and it works fine. But it refuses to run on impress. Are you able to help to fix the problem…When this page becomes active, it also freezes the presentation…

Insert Video in Impress Presentation

I have got the media working. To those who run to the same issues I hope this would helping to fix the problem.

Firstly you need to install the code Dec… here is the command to this

sudo apt-get install libdvdnav4 libdvdread4 gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad gstreamer1.0-plugins-ugly libdvd-pkg

once that is done, you need to install the player that LibreOffice users. Without it your animations or sound will not work. Here is the command to run to install this.

sudo apt-get install libgstreamer1.0-0 gstreamer1.0-plugins-base gstreamer1.0-plugins-good gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad gstreamer1.0-plugins-ugly gstreamer1.0-libav gstreamer1.0-doc gstreamer1.0-tools gstreamer1.0-x gstreamer1.0-alsa gstreamer1.0-gl gstreamer1.0-gtk3 gstreamer1.0-qt5 gstreamer1.0-pulseaudio

Enjoy using LibreOffice, if is fantastic…

It is MPG-2 format it works fine with Microsoft Office running on windows 10. But having problems with it on Libre Office.

I don’t have any issues on my windows system as I am running Microsoft Office and it works fine. I am having issues with Libreoffice 7 running on Linux. I also tried it on an older version of Libreoffice and I had the same issue. I can insert the MPG file but when I start the presentation the MPG file does not run.

There is nothing to do with my sound system. All I want is to get my MPG file to run on impress on Libreoffice, that is all. When I insert the MPG file I can see it, however when I go into presentation view the MPG does not run
