Not printing multiple copies on Brother laser printer

I’m using LibreOffice 6.2.0-3 on Manjaro Linux to print to a Brother HL-L6200DWT printer using the CUPS driver built from the deb package on the Brother Web site (Arch and Manjaro have their own package format).

When I go to print from LibreOffice it shows both

Brother_HL_L2600DW_series

and

Brother-HL-L6200DW

Whichever one I choose, and however many copies I tell it to print, it prints only one copy.

Where do I change this behavior?

Now I remember that the same thing was happening with an earlier version of LO when printing to an Epson inkjet printer (the driver for which I don’t currently have installed). I never did solve that problem, but I got around it by printing one copy and than making copies of that original.

I added the line

*cupsManualCopies: true

to the Basic Device Capabilities section of the ppd file, and that seems to have solved the problem.
