Objects don't snap exactly to gridlines in Writer

Does anyone know why objects (such as a rectangle) do not snap exactly to gridlines in LO Writer? If I try to move the object horizontally, its left edge always seem to snap to about 0.18cm to the right of the nearest vertical gridline. However, if I move it vertically, then it snaps exactly to the nearest horizontal gridline. I’ve tried this with a rectangle exactly a whole number of grid points wide and high.
In all other LO apps that I’ve tried (Calc, Impress, Draw), objects appear to snap exactly to the nearest horizontal and vertical gridlines (as they should).
Not sure if this is a known bug in Writer - apologies if people already know about this.

Hi ebot.
I notice you changed my link to the Bugzilla bug number. What was wrong with my original link? Both mine and yours seem to link to the actual bug number. Is there a standard way of linking to these bug numbers in this forum (I don’t know what “tdf#” signifies)? (I’m fairly new to this).

tdf = “The Document Foundation”, this prefix (with pound sign and number) when typed automatically creates a link to the bug site.

As a supplement, “tdf” stands for “The Document Foundation”.
