Dell ‘all in one’ top of the range computer
Even with small files the programme freezes so I have to save every few minutes. There is a ‘flashing’ arounf the edges of the file. The only thing to do is to force a close. The document - I use Writer and Draw - is sometimes recoverabvle but not always.
Even in a top of the range PC some setting can get wrong.
With the little information available, I recommend two actions:

2- If the problem persist, file a bug report with all details. This is where it can be done: https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/bug/
