I am switching from Mac to Linux on my laptop, and I have a pile of OmniGraffle documents. Can these documents be opened in LibreOffice Draw? Currently, the OmniGraffle document is opened as a text document.
Quick overview, care of Wikipedia:
OmniGraffle “is a diagramming application made by The Omni Group. OmniGraffle is built only for Mac OS X and the iPad.”
"OmniGraffle can output to PDF, TIFF, PNG, JPEG, EPS, HTML image map, SVG, Visio XML, PICT vector, Photoshop and BMP bitmap documents.
OmniGraffle uses Apple’s plist XML schema to store the data. The extension is .graffle.
So it looks like LibreOffice Draw would need to support Apple’s “plist XML schema” to import the data.
It’s possible that one of LO’s existing import filters could be used as the starting point for a new import filter for this type of document. Alternatively, you could use SVG or some other export (e.g. Visio XML) that is currently supported as an import format by LibreOffice.
In any case, I’d suggest that you file an enhancement bug and provide as much information as possible. The QA team will be happy to help you triage your feature request in the bugtracker.
