I would like to build a document which consists of pages, where each page contains an image. Ultimately I will add headers and number the pages.
How can I input a batch of images, one per page?
There are several hundred image files, so something somewhat automated would be ideal.

Without extension, attach each image to its own paragraph. Assign a custom paragraph style to these paragraphs where the Text Flow properties automatically insert a page break Before.

I am not sure I follow your answer, but am interested in understanding it. I am having a problem starting the image down an inch from the top, even though I set the top margin to 1"
Images must be anchored To paragraph.
Then, position is made relative to paragraph bounding box with the Position properties in Type tab of frame. Have also a look at Wrap to check First paragraph so that the image only “covers” its anchor paragraph and not the subsequent ones.

So is the image size determined by the pin point, and the margins on the page? Bigger margins, bigger image?

Image size: no. Image size is determined by the setting in its frame.
Is the extension AddPics what you are looking for? That was on first page of https://extensions.libreoffice.org/ . Cheers, Al
Yes, AddPics appears to do what I want. Still trying to get some of the details working right, but I was able to create 400+ pages in about an hour. That is very nice. Also, as a new user, I cannot upvote.
