I have a db that I created in 2008 using OOo3.xx. Can I open it in the current version of LO 7.4.4.2 in tact and then save it for this new LO version?
Most likely yes. Did you try? The file remains the same no matter if you save with OpenOffice or LibreOffice. There were no changes in file format as far as database documents are concerned.
As a matter of course, you always try out these things with a copy of your original file. One thing: If LibreOffice asks for conversion from embedded HSQL to embedded Firebird, click [Later] and turn off “experimental features” in Tools>Options>Advanced
