Downloaded, worked fine for about 1 day. Now when I open a document or try to create a new one, my “page size” is about 1-inch by 1-1/2 inches. Stupid! How am I supposed to type in that teeny-tiny space and actually be able to read or correct anything? This software is screwier than OpenOffice, which won’t perform the same function twice.
You zoomed out to that level. Take a look at the far right of the status bar, see picture below. If the status bar is not visible, use View - Status bar
to show it. Zoom in to a decent level, like at least 100%.
You expect me to type in that?
No, but if we shall assume you really wish help, we expect usually an example file or at least a screenshot as a starting point to analyze your situation.

In case of already fixed bugs it is also useful to know the version of LibreOffice in use and your OS or desktop environment.
.
If this is your actual opinion, I recommend using a pencil, even if there is other office software available. LibreOffice (like some other products) are based on OpenOffice.

If you are lucky @anon87010807 could already help you. Otherwise, think again, what other people may need to help you with your topic. If all you need was some venting, I hope you feel better now.
Thank you! While I was messing around looking for something that might be a status bar, I found a way to resize my template. My online name says it all, so thank you for helping me finding what I needed. I am so computer illiterate, if I could figure out a way to correct and type from an old-fashioned typewriter, I’d do it. P.S. I’m keeping your email in case I accidentally do the same dang thing again!!!
Apologies; if you knew how absolutely illiterate I am when it comes to computers, you’d probably wonder how I manage to brush my teeth in the morning. It took me ages just to find the “help” section on the website, so yeah, I guess I was a bit frazzled. And you’re right about something else: if I could figure out a way to use a pencil to communicate with my friend 500 miles away, I’d probably be doing it. Sorry again…sometimes my impatience gets the better of me. Linda
I figured that much. Apologies accepted. But please remember that being a complete computer illiterate is not an excuse for rudeness when you run into problems, because most likely you have yourself to blame.
If you search best electric typewriters you’ll find that such things are still available. Note however that they would probably need some level of computer skills as they are essentially very simple computers.
Tipp-Ex correction fluid is still available however and needs no special skills
