Opening generated reports from Oracle

Hi all,

My specs:
Windows 7 32bit
LibreOffice 4.0.1
MS Office 2010 Prof

I’m generating a report from Oracle in “.xls” format. When I open it from Libre Office I get a total of 6400 rows of data, but when I open the same file from Microsoft Office Excel there are 9400 rows of data.

I cannot figure out where the missing 3000 lines are… If anyone can give me a solution, it would be of great help.

Is the file actually in XLS format or is it a HTML table (written out with XLS file extension)? Open it using a text editor for find out. If it is a HTML table there is an old bug (FDO#35756) associated with this that results in truncated data on import. This may be what you are experiencing.
