Hi, new to OL, I’m on version 25.8.2.2, is there a way to change the order of items in the cell context menu, when you right-click on a cell, I’ve tried the “Context Menus” in option but not sure how it works.
Thank you.

Try Tools | Customise | Context menus. You can use the up/down arrows to adjust the position of the selected assigned command.
I tried that but doesn’t seem to work, when I click on a cell the orders hasn’t changed, I assume that I must use Cell for Target?
If I create a new spreadsheet it works fine but doesn’t with my old ODS file create with Openoffice maybe that’s the problem.
I tried it with my template that was made with OO, and it doesn’t work either.
My default context menu:
Open the customise menu and click on the Context Menu tab; you should se this:
Now when I open the context menu:
I did all that but doesn’t with files create with OO. I have a Template that I use every day to create new invoice, so would like to modify the order of the items and add some new one.
As you probably know, OpenOffice doesn’t support customisation of context menus.
However, I just created a simple spreadsheet with AOO and opened it in LO; I was able to modify the context menu in that spreadsheet. Saving and re-opening the file in AOO loses the changes to the context menu; not surprisingly as it is a global change, not restricted to one spreadsheet.
Guessing now, perhaps there is some sort of protection applied to your AOO documents?
That why I switched to LO, any way to know if a protection is applied to my documemts?
Maybe you have changed the context menu in the scope of the problematic ODS or the template used for it (when you initially experimented), and saved it? So that now it has its own copy of that menu, and uses it irrespective of the application-wide preference?
I have several hundreds files made with AOO and none of the one I’ve tried works. I can see the modification made in the “Option” “Context Menus” but not when I right-click the cell.
Please upload one of them, removing sensitive data.
Your file structure contains context menus cell, celledit, toolbar formatobjectbar.
Try a template with removed from the file overridden menus (toolbar).

It is possible to write a macro that removes overlapped menus, toolbars, and hotkeys from the document (template) structure.
Sorry, I don’t understand what you’re trying to tell me!
Testnew doesn’t work either.
Write a macro? Me? It’s like asking a monkey to make a cake!
The only file that is important is my OTS file, the other ones are not.
Open the file (template), then Menu / View / Normal.
The context menu should now display according to the modification.
Save the template.

In View / Page Break mode, the Page Break context menu is used (instead of Cell). This menu can also be modified in the standard way.
