.ots documents on linux vs windows

I primarily use LO Calc on Linux Mint (v20.1) but occasionally I read my files on a Windows system or send it to people who have Libreoffice on their Windows computer. I noticed that files with macros cannot be read accurately between the two systems. Specifically those macros that have UTF-8 characters in them (Windows uses UTF-16 or 32). Also, the key-bindings to the macros do not transfer at all. Right now I have to recreate the file on the system I transferred to. Is this a bug in Libreoffice or is it an unresolved problem still waiting for solution? (Note: all my macros are created with Record Macro)

This would need a bug report, with an attached sample OTS, created on Linux, which doesn’t open well on Windows.
