Page breaks and titles in calc

Sorry I am new to CALC, I have a multi page document which should have page breaks on the “year” (Column 1 is a date) not by arbitrary row number and I would like to repeat the first row of the document as the top line (title) on each page.

There should be a way to tell Calc that some particular row starts (or ends) a page and I hope there is some way to tell it to repeat a single line (even if I have to remove and place the contents somewhere else) as the page heading (Currently row 1 is the line I would like on each page).
I am searching hard but not finding this. So far all answers seem to say calc does not do either.
Both of these ideas seem like very ordinary needs, hope they can be done.
Thanks.

The database component has most of the features missed by new spreadsheet users. It possible to design database reports with page breaks after each year.

You can

  • insert row page breaks with menu Sheet → Insert Page Break → Row Break;
    online help Row Break
  • define repeated header rows using menu Format → Print Ranges → Edit, Rows to Repeat, in your case for the first row it would be $1 (or point and click the row when in the edit field);
    online help Printing Rows or Columns on Every Page

Many thanks. That was not obvious but you nailed it.

Thanks from a random third party who just stumbled across the thread and had a lightbulb moment!
