Pages automatically deleted on writer

Hello. I have a serious and strange problem with Writer.

A text document where I add every day few pages. It has 154 pages. Today I opened it and at the bottom left it marks the correct number of pages, but the number starts to decrease and in two seconds it marks 111 pages and the rest have disappeared. No way, they are automatically deleted.

I tried to quickly do Ctrl + A and Ctrl + C, open a new doc and paste: only 111 pages are pasted.

I also tried do Ctrl + Shift + S and saving it with another name: only 111 pages are saved.

But during the two seconds that mark the 154 pages I SEE THE CONTENT of the pages that then are deleted!

I do not understand anything.

Some idea???

Thanks

When starting, Writer always repaginates the document, applying the styles in their current state. This may impact the number of pages due to a change in line spacing, space above and below paragraphs, page margins and indents. In principle, text is not modified.

Have you checked your text is still there, though perhaps with a different layout?

To suggest more meaningful hints, describe your document: is it styled or direct-formatted (i.e. all formatted is manual)? Is is based on a template? Caution, this word in Writer parlance means you start from an .ott document to create an .odt file. If so, have you changed style definitions in the template?

Is the document effectively saved as .odt or some alien format like .doc(x)?

Don’t forget to mention your OS name and LO version.
