Paragraph indent deletes itself in Writer

I’ve just encountered a strange bug in Writer. Every time I reach the end of a paragraph and hit enter for the next paragraph, the indent at the start of the paragraph I’ve just written deletes itself. It does this with new documents and old ones. I’ve tried restarting the program and my laptop, and I’ve done a repair reinstall with the latest version of LO. Nothing fixes it.

Any help would be much appreciated! I’m using a Lenovo Ideapad Slim 5 running Windows 11.

  • What’s “latest” today may not be tomorrow.
    Please give the exact LibO version and the OS explicitly.
  • Very strange errors are sometimes caused by user profile corruption.
    The user profile, however, is NOT replaced by a next install. It’s preserved.
  • You can check if the UP caused an issue via >Help>Restart in Safe Mode ...

(My LibO Writer 25.8.4.2 on Win 10 is not afflicted.)

The version is 25.8.4.2, I downloaded the latest available version and tested it immediately before posting. The OS is Windows 11 Home, version 25H2, OS build 26200.7623.

EDIT: I tried running it in safe mode, the same error recurs.
