Password Fault/Bug? v 24.2.x - solved

I have been using LO for years on the same machine - Linux deb x64
In the last 2 days I tried out the latest 24.2.x version.
I have found that any document created or opened with v24.2.x and then saved with a password becomes corrupted and unable to be subsequently opened or repaired.
This occurs if:
(a) I use v24.2.x to open a document created with a previous version of LO and save it with a password.
or
(b) I use v24.2.x to create a new document and save it with a password

In both cases LO v24.2.x is unable to reopen the file.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Update after further testing:
I have found that this problem is resolved by unchecking the box “enable experimental features” in “Tools > Options > Advanced Features”

You should create a bug report for something serious like this in a newish version, How to Report Bugs in LibreOffice - The Document Foundation Wiki

I can’t reproduce it in my system.
