Paste and undo breaks conditional format

I wanted to confirm that this is a bug before filing a report.
Steps to reproduce:

  1. enter 1 into A1
  2. enter 2 into A2
  3. Apply Color Scale conditional formatting to column A
  4. paste value into A3; at this point the conditional format range is A:A
  5. undo

Now the conditional format range is A3, A4:A104876,A1:A2
