I am trying to paste large ammounts of data into calc, but can only enter 65536 rows, even if I do 2 cut and pastes no rows above 65536 are paste into the worksheet.
I have a workround but wondered if this was a system problem or finger trouble.
I am using;

I am pasting from a web based app.
BUT - the work round I use is to past into a text editor, then save as a csv text file and load the data that way.
By doing this I can load all the records ( about 120,000 rows )
your web apps based on Excel?
Not as far as I know. Is there a problem copying from excel then?
I normally load .xlsx files directly into LO
I believe the problem is in the data source, Calc has a capacity of 10048576 rows and 1024 columns.
yep, there is a problem with copy/paste from Excel to Calc. Now when you use direct pasting cells from Excel to Calc you’ll get only 65536 cells with data in Calc =( If you just open XLSX file with more than 65536 data cels in Calc then it will open good with all data. Problem is only with pasting
Then save the excel file to ods and then copy and paste.
