Good morning.
I’m using Libre Base, in Libre Office 25.2.4.3
How can I get paste to work?
I have tried Control C, Control V, result - nothing
Also tried the copy and paste icons in the tool bar, copy seems to work but then paste command is not available.
The database is not read only, I am writing into it and saving it as normal.
Any advice appreciated.

Can you give a bit more context? What are you pasting into what?
You can copy a cell range from a spreadsheet or the icon of a database table or the icon of a database view.
Then you can select the icon of the target table and paste.
A dialog pops up where you have to consider:
If you want to paste the copied data into the existing table:
- The table name has to be the name of the target table.
- Option “Append Data” checked.
- The next step allows mapping the incoming columns to the existing columns.
If you want to create a new table:
- The table name has to be a new table name.
- You can choose to paste the column structure or the structure with data.
- The next step allows specifying all the details for the columns to be created.
Thanks for your replies.
I rebooted the computer and all was well!

I have (almost) the same problem. Version 24.8.7.2 on Windows 10.
I’m populating a table in Base. Ctrl-c works, but ctrl-v doesn’t do anything. So I have to right-click, scroll, select paste, which is a lot slower.

I tried a restart, but that didn’t help.

Ctrl-C from a cell in the Base table followed by ctrl-v anywhere else (google, email, a base form) works fine. The only issue is ctrl-v in the table.
