I was working in “LOWriter” and pasting images separately from written text. I went to a web site to retrieve and paste more information and when I came back to the original page, magic, all the images in this paper disappeared and I was left with a box, an anchor in the top left hand corner of the box, the word “image” and an assigned number. I opened a new page and tried to copy/paste and the same thing happened, a new almost empty box with an anchor, “image 1” .

Thank you. I read that Images was under Tools, but that’s not the case with my version.
It’s under Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice Writer -> View -> Category: Display -> Option: Images and objects
as well (available only, if a writer document is open). In fact it is the same setting.
