Hello, I was surprised that LibreOffice can edit pdf files. However, it doesn’t respect original fonts, and as a result, the text columns are messed up (rows are longer). Is there any possibility what to do with this?
@capngary LibreOffice doesn’t use embedded fonts. If the original font(s) are installed on the computer then it will use them.
Open the pdf in Draw. Click in a text box and look at the font box, if the name of the font is in italics then that font is not installed and a substitute is being used to display the text.
You can
- Install the font. Or
- Find an existing font with same or similar metrics and tell LibreOffice to use that as replacement for the original font. See Tools - Options - LibreOffice - Fonts
