pictures disappear from my text document

Hello there - I have been struggling with LibreOffice for one week - and I have succeeded with one thing after another - It has been nice to get over difficulties - but now I have come to one new problem - and I have tried different ways, but this could be a bug - or maybe just in my computer.

Anyhow I explain maybe someone could say something…

Pretty new computer, Win 8,1 (asus laptop 15") So I dont think it is the computer… Everything seems to work fine otherwise.

I made a text with some pictures - and wanted to print it out with two A5 pages on each paper.
My settings: First I put Format size to A5 (portrait)
File/printer settings: I choose landscape.
Then in File/print I marked the box Only to use the paper size as in printer settings.
And layout to 2 pages per paper.

Everything seems to work fine until I set the layout to 2 pages per paper. Than the pictures disappears - and only the text remains. As long as I have one page per paper, the pictures are fine…
Could anyone comment

If I am wanting to print out two portrait pages on each A4 portrait sheet, giving A5 pages. I set the printer setting to A4 portrait and then the Printer PAGE LAYOUT to two pages per sheet. This gives two A5 portrait pages per sheet. LibreOffice and the printer do the resizing and correct orientation. Try this first to see whether this gives you your images. You appear to be using both Portrait and landscape at the same time. A5 portrait two up (portrait) will give A6 portrait. Not certain what A5 portrait two up landscape will give. …Peter

Tanks Peter I tried every possible setting - but it is all the same - every time I choose two pictures side by side on one sheet, the images disappear. Just tried it again with only two sides document and one picture on each.
I would appreciate if you tried it on your computer. Than I know if it is my sample of Libreoffice that is bad.

So I tried every possible way - and no it didnt work. Sad but true - I tried it in OpenOffice also - and there it works - so thats it… bye Libres
