Here’s a dead-simple SVG file that should simply contain the text “E7” The tspan tag is used to make the “7” in a slightly smaller point size than the “E”
If you view this SVG file in a browser like IE or Firefox, you get the expected result, with the “E” and “7” right next to each other.
If you Import->image this file into LO Writer, LO will insert some white space between the “E” and the “7” This was working correctly in earlier versions of LO (sorry I can’t recall which), but is broken in 5.0.5.2 (and perhaps earlier).
