Portable version 7.6.6.is renamed Still (LibreOfficePortablePrevious_7.6.6)?

I installed the portable version from this site. However, the naming convention is bizarre. After installation the finished prompt calls this version STILL. I am currently running version 7.6.2 and I have customized settings that I am unable to backup.

Looking at the files of 7.6.6, the executable is called LibreOfficePortablePrevious.exe.

I ran a test installation with 24.2.2 and it overrode my customized settings and removed my recent files.

I don’t understand what’s this all about. Can someone provide any insight?

Thanks

Why?

Sorry, your description seems a bit confused to me and I don’t understand your problem.
This could also be the reason why nobody has commented yet.
Please describe your procedure in more detail. Always remember, nobody can look over your shoulder.

And please mention the operating system you are using.
Thank you.

If you use the version by PortableApps the settings should be in the subfolder
PortableOpenOffice\settings\
.
For an installec version look in %APPDATA%
.
But actually, if they are replaced as you stated, then it is to late. Backups are to be created before you change the system.

This is some kind of intended by MS. The new version is recognized as new program, and gets a new list. It will fill again. ( The installer would need to copy the old list(s) and implant it in the new install to fix this. )
