Postgres or Firebird

I’m an optometrist developing an electronic medical record (EMR) system for my small office based on LO Base.
I was planning on using Postgres 12, but the learning curve is steep! The new version of LO Base has Firebird embedded, and seems much easier to work with (logging in, saving the Db, easier to transport). I developed a couple in the past with MS Access and SQL Server and they worked well.

I’d like to get some opinions on what database I should use. I know Postgres can handle about anything you can throw at it, I’m just not sure if I would be getting in over my head with it, since I’m not a programmer.

Thanks,

Joe

Hello,

Sorry but this is a question and answer site for LibreOffice. Even though Firebird embedded is included, it is not a LibreOffice developed item.
