Predictive text in .calc BLACKED OUT

Since the upgrade to 7.3.4.2, weirdly, whenever I type letters in a column that contain the same string and thus predict the following letters I might be wanting to add, those letters are COMPLETELY BLACKED OUT, which makes it impossible to see them and to decide whether I want that string to be repeated.
Has anyone else experienced this, surely this must be a bug in 7.3.4.2, I haven’t changed any parameters myself since the upgrade, evidently.

No such thing here. Does it also happen if you set the document background to black or another colour or force it to white? Tools → Options → LibreOffice → Application Colors, General, Document background.
Which operating system and UI renderer/toolkit anyway? You may copy from Help → About, Version Information.

But that didn’t help, sadly: still the “black box” over the suggested letters.
