My LO especially Writer is running very very slow, and I want to reinstall.
Besides exporting macros to a *.bas file, what else can I save (and how) to save myself a lot of “how did I set this up?” time?

Two points:
Reinstalling will usually keep your user profile unchanged, so re-installing may not change your install much. You may try safe-mode first, then rename or backup/delete the current profile.
I recommend to backup the complete profile, so you can rescue “missing” items later. It may contain your dictionaries, templates, custom config of menu or key-binding, registered databases and much more…
As you didn’t mention your OS, please read yourself:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile
Please test in safe mode, Menu/Help/Restart in Safe Mode
Thanks. Sorry the o/s is win11 pro.
I backed up …libreoffice/4/user to my NAS. Then I restarted in Safe mode. I don’t have time to test today, and I’ll simply exit.
Is the test procedure to use it for a while with the same data files and see if there are still speed problems? And if not, restore from the backup? I assume that it asks for a directory to pull the backed up profile from. Won’t that reintroduce the problem, if that’s where it is? How can I selectively restore Writer? That’s where I’ve noticed it most.
Yes, therefore also the hint to try safe mode first: it simply ignores the profile and uses a fresh one.
Even that would be a hint, where the problem is. But most will restore files like a user-dictionary, wich is unlikly to cause problems.
