Print a blank page when printing a word doc from LibreOffice

I just updated my Mac OS to OS 10.11 (El Captin) and then I only got a blank page by printing a document created by LibreOffice. I also updated LibreOffice to 5.1.1.3.

So far I have done following troubleshooting:

  1. update my HP OfficeJet 6480 driver. Test page printing is okay.
  2. Printing a JPG is okay.
  3. I also reset my printer and it didn’t work.
  4. I asked Apple customer service, it is recommended me to check with LibreOffice first.

Anyone can help me? I really appreciate it. Thanks.

I was getting this issue on a Linux box with an HP Printer. in LibreOffice writer, I went to Tools/Options and unchecked the 'PDF as standard print job format." and this fixed it for me. (I do not know if that setting is on a MAC.)

I did that and STILL can’t get LO to print anything.
Really sick of this. It’s been four hours of fiddling with everything related to the printer. I’m no newbie and this is the only program that won’t print anything and of course it’s also the most important.

I have been four days on this. I may have to pay for professional help. Paper responds to command by going through the printer but there is nothing on it.

The only solution I can see is to pay for professional help as this seems to be going nowhere.

Search for UseSkia in the expert settings and try to set it to false.
