Print preview selection does not give me what I have highlighted
How do you expect anybody to suggest any advice? You didn’t mention any useful information: OS name, LO version (all 4 numbers or, better, a copy of Help>About LO) and save format. You just state a fact and don’t tell why it bothers you. You don’t describe what you’ve done and what you expect.
Reopen your question by clicking on … below it, then on the “pencil” icon. Improve the “question” and provide the needed information.
FWIW, print preview is intended to show the result of printing. Consequently it always displays one page at least. This display starts at the page where the cursor is located. Depending on the zoom level and screen size, you may see several pages.
