Problem with total hours

Hi I have a problem with adding hours, it doesn’t add my hours correctly and often it does it completely randomly. I don’t know where I made a mistake. Please help

Check the formatting code for the cell with sums. Change to [HH]:MM

I don’t think so. Internally “time” is a fraction of a day, so your 8:00 is actually one third of a day 0.33333
Your sum of 5 times 8 hours sums to 1.6666 or 16:00 on the next day, but formatting as time hides the day or date part. So you need the other code mentioned above to show your sum.

You may change the formatting to number to see the true values in the cells. For values like 6 hours (0.25) and 8 hours (0.333) it is easy to recognize the system.
