Hi,
I’m trying to convert my paperback book manuscript (which i created using Libreoffice) into a Kindle/ebook. I thought it would be easy but it’s not been. I recreated all the footnotes as endnotes, made a few other formating adjustments and then saved it as a docx. But I’ve got two problems:
-
When I upload it Amazon KDP it says that there is no table of contents (even though there is in the original docx file).
-
Also, when I click to preview the ebook i can see that the endnotes are no longer aligned neatly. Some of them are too close to the endnote number, will others are too far indented. And yet they look fine in the docx file before it’s uploaded. (see the pictures below, the bottom one is how it should look)
I’ve tried loading it into Kindle create first but it just looks a mess as all the formatting for chapter headings etc is messed up and the endnotes are the same (not aligned).
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix those 2 problems.
Thanks,
